  • RFID has been widely used in transportation. RFID enabled cards/devices are used for toll payments, fare payments on bus/rail/ferry systems.
  • Implantable RFID tags or transponders can be used for animal identification. The transponders are more well-known as passive RFID technology, or simply "Chips" on animals.
  • High-frequency RFID tags are used in library book or bookstore tracking, jewelry tracking, pallet tracking, building access control, airline baggage tracking, and apparel and pharmaceutical items tracking.
  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology has significant value for inventory systems. The technology provides an accurate knowledge of the current inventory.
